If you follow Simple Nails and Beauty on Facebook, you probably saw this {ahem…} awesome picture I posted while changing the cleaning heads on my Olay Regenerist Cleansing System.

I was almost too embarrassed to post it, but I wanted to show you all that I have indeed been using this cleansing brush and using it quite a bit!  I have been using the Olay Regenerist Cleansing brush for about three months now. To be honest, I actually didn’t realize my brush head was quite that dirty until I put it up against the new one.

The Product’s Color and Options

I believe the standard option that this cleansing brush comes in is white, but I chose to purchase the limited edition purple option {‘cause I’m cool like that}.

My Experience with the Product

I am not really sure what I can say about this product to best show my love towards it.  Basically, I do not know how I lived without this face cleansing brush.

As I sit here and think about my thoughts on this amazing beauty tool, I realized I am probably a little TOO much into using it.  Although the box says you can use it up to twice daily, I think that would be way too much exfoliation for my face.  I have been trying to limit myself to using the brush only three times per week.  But I just love how it feels like I really get rid of all the dirt and oil and makeup from the day when I use it.

It is also really easy to change the brush heads.  You just pull the current one off and push the new one on.

When I purchased my ProX Advanced Cleansing Brush, it came with a sample size of the ProX cleanser to use with it.  It was terrible.  The cleanser smelled like hot glue, literally.  I was so put off by the smell, I couldn’t really focus on how the cleanser was actually performing.  Plus, I realized if it smelled that bad, there was probably something in it that shouldn’t be put onto my face.  So, I only used it that one time and threw away the sample {which is a shame because it was a pretty large sample size and I would have gotten a lot of use out of it}.

I have been using a couple of cleansers with the brush that I do really like, though.  I try to use non-exfoliating cleansers {since the brush is doing the exfoliating for me and I do not want it to be too abrasive of a situation for my face}.  I have really been loving the L’Oreal 360 Anti-Breakout cleanser that has salicylic acid in it.  It foams up quite a bit and I just love the combination of it with the cleansing brush.  My face feels clean and soft, but in no way dried out {even with the salicylic acid in the cleanser}, after I use it.

Also, since I have started using this brush, I have definitely seen a lot less {and a lot less harsh} of breakouts and my skin texture is noticeably better.  Even my husband has made mention!

Would I Purchase this Product Again?

Oh yes, absolutely.  I think I would cry if it broke and I wasn’t able to get it  I am actually thinking about buying another one just to keep in my travel bag.

Also, I have never tried another cleansing brush, so I cannot say how it performs against the Clarisonic {for instance}.  However, I would have a hard time putting up the cash for the Clarisonic, knowing this Olay version has been working for me.  Anyone out there that has used both and can see a difference with the Clarisonic?  If so, tell me about it in the comments below!

Where to Buy this Product

I bought mine at Wal-Mart, but you can also purchase it on Olay’s website here for $29.99 or on Amazon here for $21.67.  The replacement heads {there are 2 in each pack} can also be purchased on Amazon here for $9.97.

Tell me in the comments below : Have you used this cleansing brush?  Or, have you used a different one that you really like?

Thanks for this! I’m currently going back and forth on my decision between this, the Clarisonic, and an even cheaper model that seems to be popular in the UK. You know, I’m starting to think that a facial brush is just a facial brush, and that none will really outperform the others, because they’re all designed to do the same thing! I imagine you’d get the same result from a cheapy hand brush, but the convenience of having the rotations there means that your arms are less likely to become tired.

We have one here by a brand called Champneys, and it’s £15, as opposed to the £30 that the Olay one costs. Not a huge difference, but to me that’s the difference between buying another makeup product, and not buying another makeup product… 😉
I really don’t think I’m mentally capable of spending so much on the Clarisonic. I would feel ill when parting with that cash!

I agree with you, Daisy! I wish I could try the Clarisonic for just a day or two to see, but I cannot bring myself to buy one (and spending more money) on something that I may already have that works just the same. But yes, the Olay head does spin in case you were wondering.
