Don’t you just love Halloween?  I sure do and was really excited when I saw the theme for Julep Maven this month was “Black Magic”.  Although I did love the nail polish colors that were chosen for me as a Classic with a Twist Maven, I did opt for a fun non-nail-polish option that was specific to the Halloween season.

Like I mentioned above, I decided to swap out one of my nail polishes for those adorable black cat nail decals.  I also decided to swap out another one of my nail polishes for the Buff Lip Scrub.  The nail polish that I decided to keep in my box for the month was “Cleopatra” which is a black nail polish.  Perfect for Halloween and the manicure I am planning with those black cat decals.

On top of all of that, I added-on three Plush Pout Lip Crayons as I had received one of the crayons in a previous box and LOVED it.  Because I chose three add-ons {the three Plush Pout Lip Crayons}, I also received free gifts….Julep threw in two additional nail polishes and they are GORGEOUS.  I mean, the yellow “Catrina” is also going to be perfect to use during this Halloween season, but that red iridescent polish “Karmen”.  All I can say is OMG.

Julep always adds in a fun little surprise treat and this month it was candy corn.  They sure do know the way to this girl’s heart.

The Products I am most Excited to Try:

I am looking forward to doing a fun manicure for Halloween with the Cleopatra polish and the black cat nail decals.  But I cannot wait to polish my nails with that red iridescent, Karmen.  I am also really excited to try the Buff Lip Scrub, especially with winter approaching and my lips already becoming dry.  I think it will be a nice product to have on hand.

I used to get Julep Maven all the time but I cancelled because the polish chipped pretty quickly. That was a while ago so maybe it is better now! This box looks great though! 🙂

Oh, I love their polish. I typically use their Polymer top coat or Seche Vite top coat and I usually want to take the nail polish off because I am bored with the color not because of it chipping!

I kind of have a Julep obsession. Which is bad because I’ve spent more money on nail polish in the last several months than I have spent in the bulk of the last 10 years. But OMG I love the colors.

I feel like Julep’s colors would be very hard to find elsewhere, they are so unique! Which means, I buy a lot of them as I would hate to miss out!
