The Friendsgiving Collection Julep November 2014

I think that my Julep Maven box for November has been my favorite thus far!  When Julep announced the “Friendsgiving” Collection, I wanted every single polish.  This was the first month where every single color, shade, and finish was right up my alley.  Then, to top it all off, Julep also released two mascaras.  One is meant for lengthening your lashes and one is meant for volume.  Julep toted that they should be used together, in a mascara cocktail, for the perfect lashes.

It also helped that Julep threw in some tasty treats with the box!

Here is my Julep Maven Unboxing for November 2014:

Like I said above, I loved every single nail polish in this month’s collection.  But, I also wanted to try the new mascaras.  I talked myself out of upgrading to the mammoth, all-inclusive box {we are in the middle of the adoption process and trying to save for that, so I just couldn’t justify getting everything}, but I did settle on my box, the Classic with a Twist, plus added on everything that came in the Bombshell box this month.  That meant I got a total of four nail polishes {which happened to be my four favorites out of the collection} along with both of the mascaras.  The total value of my box this month was $108.  I spent $44.98, total shipped to my door!

The four colors I got were {from left to right}: Shari, Devon, Fazia, and Jessie.

Julep Devon Nail Polish

I think that Devon is my favorite.  It is this light grey metallic with a hint of pink shimmer.  It is unlike anything that I have, and I have a lot of nail polish!

Julep Fazia Nail Polish

Fazia was my second favorite color this month.  It is going to be a perfectly beautiful, shimmery red option for my nails this upcoming holiday season.

The only hiccup I experienced this month was that the “Go Big” mascara was shipped separately.  Apparently Julep ran out of inventory quicker than what was expected.  But, it arrived only a couple days later and Julep is giving me 950 Jules to make up for the delay.  The delayed shipping on this one item didn’t really bother me and I am excited to have Jules to apply towards next month’s box.  More Jules = more nail polish for Jen!

What exactly is a Julep Maven Subscription?

Julep Maven is a monthly nail polish and beauty subscription box. They make all their own products, so subscribers get a good value each month – over $40 retail worth of product for just $24.99 a month.  Plus, as I mentioned above, each month they offer big discounts on select items and special packages that you can add on to your box.

And, if you sign up for 3-months up front, you get a $19.99 per month rate instead!

Each month Julep releases a new collection on the 20th.  This is the date each month that you can decide which box you want, you can upgrade to the entire collection, or you can skip that month {you earn a skip every 6 months you are a subscriber}.

The Julep Maven subscription box is the perfect way to treat yourself to new nail color and beauty products each month.  I have been a Julep Maven for a few months {I am a Classic with a Twist Maven}and so far absolutely LOVE the products.  The nail polish is some of the best that I have ever used.

I’m really curious about the Julep nail polishes. Never tried but I see they are pretty popular. I would like to know if they last more than OPI or Essie. Love the light pink shade. Hugs.

Hi Priscila, I have tried all of the brands you mention (OPI and Essie) and I will say that with all three (including Julep) you will get the longest wear by using a high quality top coat. My favorite top coat is Julep’s Polymer Top Coat and another favorite is Sally Hansen’s new Miracle Gel Top Coat. For me, between these three brands, I have the longest wear with Julep, but when using a high quality top coat they all last a very decent amount of time. But, I keep buying Julep nail polish because it does work so great for me!

I cannot wait for it to get here….I was almost contemplating skipping my box this month (love that Julep offers this now), but when I saw that color I couldn’t help myself!
