Ipsy Glam Bag || Oct 2014 || Beauty Candy

Have you been wondering where my Ipsy Glam Bag unboxings have been?  Maybe you thought I cancelled?  No more worries, I am here today with the Ipsy Glam Bag for October and I am certainly keeping my subscription.  As you will see, the Ipsy Glam Bag is totally worth it!

Here is my Ipsy Glam Bag for October 2014

Ipsy Glam Bag October 2014

Ipsy October 2014

The bag this month was super cute.  It was a teal quilted bag, but made out of that soft vinyl material.  Plus, I love that the zipper is on the side rather than the top, just for something a little different.

The Products I Received

Ipsy Glam Bag October 2014

Ecru New York Protein BB Cream from Ipsy October 2014

Skyn Glacial Cleansing Cloths from Ipsy October 2014

Noyah Lipstick from Ipsy October 2014

Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara from Ipsy October 2014

ECRU New York Acacia Protein BB Cream Beauty Balm for Hair || Full Size $30 || Sample Value $7.14

Although I use a cream like this {some sort of leave-in conditioner type of product} for my hair every time I wash it, since I do not wash my hair every day {I do about once every second or third day}, I have too much of this type of product stockpiled right now.  So, I may pass this on either to a friend or incorporate it into an upcoming giveaway.

Figs & Rouge Mango & Mandarin Shea Butter Hand Cream || Full Size $6.56 || Received full size product!

Unlike leave-in hair conditioners, I will never have too much hand cream.  I have hand creams scattered all over my house and use them constantly.  Once I finish up the hand cream I received in last month’s Ipsy bag {it will be gone in the next couple of days}, this bad boy is going on my bedside.  The scent I got, the Mango & Mandarin, smells amazing and if I were ever to need to purchase a hand cream I would certainly repurchase t,his!  However, I am going to cross my fingers that I keep getting hand creams in my subscription boxes!

noyah Lipstick in Deeply in Mauve || Full Size $18 || Approx. Sample Value $4.50

This color is so perfect for fall.  It looks great with my skin tone and I will certainly be able to use this.  The formula of the lipstick was nice and cream and the color applied very opaque.  Even with the darker shade, I didn’t have any issue with spottiness.  I will definitely consider purchasing more in a couple different colors with the discount code {with a free lip balm offer!} we received for this brand {see all of the discounts for this month below!}

Revlon Bold Lacquer™ Length & Volume Mascara || Full Size $7.19 || Received full size product!

Womp. Womp. {this is what I felt when I saw this in my bag} I received this mascara in my Boxy Charm subscription box a couple of months ago and it absolutely did not work for me.  The mascara just globbed onto the brush and then onto my eyelashes.  It was almost impossible to use.  However, I am planning on doing a 30 day mascara review challenge soon so I have been stockpiling mascaras.  Therefore, instead of relegating this to a giveaway {I mean, a lot of folks raved about this mascara, so it may have just been me that didn’t like it}, I may give this new tube a try.

Skyn Iceland Mini Glacial Cleansing Cloths || Full Size $15 || Sample Value $5.00

Before I got my bag, I started seeing some reviews that these cleansing cloths were causing irritation, so I was a little nervous to try them.  But, they really worked fine for me.  At first I didn’t think I liked the smell of them, but as I continue to use them, I am appreciating the smell.  Because they are a bit spendy, I am not sure I would purchase these.  I have mentioned in an Empties post how much I love the Simple Brand cleansing cloths.  I really did not see a huge difference between those and these Skyn brand ones, so I think I will just stick to my good ol’ drugstore brand.  But, these were really nice for me, if you are looking for an alternative!

Total Value of this Month’s Ipsy: $40.39

Its kind of cool to see that you got different stuff in your bag than I got in mine. I got a great nail color from OPI and some fiber lash mascara that I am in love with. I have not yet used the hand lotion (that’s the same) but I am going to make sure to use that as soon as I run out of what I currently have in my purse. I really do enjoy these little bags allowing me to try items I wouldn’t otherwise. I have a lot of new “regular” items that I was introduced to because of Ipsy.

I saw that nail polish floating around. A little bummed I didn’t receive it, but I am still really happy with my bag. And, I also love discovering new brands and products!

I have seen these boxes but haven’t tried them yet. Seems like a good surprise when the box shows up.

Ipsy does offer you the ability to see what products you are getting before the bag arrives (it is called your “Glam Room”). You can’t switch out the products, but if you do not like surprises, you can take a peek. I like the surprise, though, and try not to look in my Glam Room before my Ipsy Glam Bag arrives!
