elf Cosmetics Best Sellers – What’s in My Travel Bag for the 2014 Holiday Season

by

I have had elf on the brain the past couple of days.

No, not the pointy eared, pointy shoe wearing elf.  The brand, e.l.f. Studio Cosmetics.

Why?  Simply put, I have become obsessed with their products.  Not only because of the quality, but because of their amazing prices {I honestly cannot believe how good they are given how inexpensively you can buy them}.  You know me, I love a good beauty bargain.

Before I get started with this post, however, I do want to make it clear that I am not affiliated with e.l.f. Studio in any way, am not earning anything for writing this post, and I am not earning anything if you were to buy something from the e.l.f. website.  In fact, they have no idea I am writing this!  I just genuinely love their products and feel they are such a great value. So much so that I felt it was necessary to share this sale with you {and which products are my favorites} in case you hadn’t seen it for yourself!

Okay, back to the purpose of this post!

Elf Cosmetics Bestsellers - What's in my Travel Bag for the 2014 Holiday Season

I recently discovered e.l.f. Studio products being available at my local ShopKo.  I have also seen the products at Target in the past, but since the closest Target to me is over an hour away, I do not shop there frequently for makeup or seek out any beauty bargains there {so e.l.f. makeup never really ended up on my radar}.

Even more recently than finding my new beauty bargain obsession by buying e.l.f. products at ShopKo, I discovered how much I could save on e.l.f. products simply by purchasing from the website instead!  I literally have been having a forehead slapping, “doh” moment because I hadn’t realized this sooner.

My husband actually asked me the other day, “Jen, what is e.l.f. Studio?” only because of how many boxes I was receiving from them and what looked like a MASSIVE amount of money being spent.  Once I explained to him how little I was actually spending, he was *almost* okay with my vanity being overrun by their products.

I have had e.l.f. makeup specifically on my mind the past couple of days for a couple of reasons.  It has become my preferred travel-worthy makeup {and I am currently packing for the upcoming holiday weekend} and because I discovered that their bestsellers are 50% off through Wednesday!  Given that the foundation I love from e.l.f. is normally a steal at $6, getting it for just $3 {plus money back from Ebates} just seems criminal.

But, before I get into the sale, let me tell you what my current favorites from the e.l.f. cosmetics bestsellers category are and why I am choosing them to take with me as I travel away from home this holiday season.

Why elf Cosmetics Best Sellers are in My Travel Bag this Holiday Season

Aside from the fact that I do really like the quality of my e.l.f. makeup items, and I know I can “put together” my face quickly and beautifully while traveling with their products, the reason I take them with me versus others I own is because I know that if something happens to them, it will not cost me an arm and a leg to replace all of it.

My husband and I often skip around staying one place to the next each night during our holiday jaunt back to see family.  That means our luggage is continuously being moved about and sometimes ends up sitting in the car all day.  In Wisconsin, in the winter, being outside in the car all day isn’t necessarily the best for liquids, as you can imagine.

One year I made the mistake of bringing my Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation with me on a weekend back home to see our parents.  Well, that baby busted and I was out $45 to replace it.

Another year, during college, my husband’s car broke down on his way home for Thanksgiving.  While getting a ride into town, his vehicle was broken into and everything was stolen.  I will never understand why that person felt it was necessary to steal my husband’s dirty underwear {because that really is all that was in there}, but it happened.  Granted he didn’t have any makeup in his bag {and he still wouldn’t today}, but if that were MY bag, I would have lost a lot of my favorite beauty products!

So, given the quality and the price of e.l.f. products, they are my go-to makeup goodies for traveling.

My Makeup Travel Bag for the 2014 Holiday Season - includes mostly elf cosmetics bestsellers!

The past couple of days, I have been looking through my makeup stash deciding what I wanted to pack for this week’s holiday getaway.  After laying it all out, I realized it was 90% from e.l.f. and most all of the products are from their bestseller’s category!

I love ELF Products – especially their smudge pots! I heard their Prism eyeshadow palettes are really good as well and I use some of their brushes. As a brand, I find them to be rather hit-and-miss, but as someone who loves eyeshadows, I have been quite satisfied with their products so far. 🙂

I found your blog through the Beauty Frenzy Friday, btw. 🙂

Great products you have here 🙂 I hate traveling with high end products as well, especially if the packaging isn’t the best 🙁 Need to try more Elf products, thanks for the heads up what you use 🙂
