Palmetto Derma Collagen Booster & Restoration Serum from BoxyCharm Unboxing October 2014

Palmetto Derma Collagen Booster & Restoration Serum || Received Full Size || Value $48

I have yet to try this, but I am just itching to do so.  I love serums and skin care in general.  However, right now I am trying out a skin care line as a part of the Influenster program and I agreed to use that, and only that, for 30 days.  But, as soon as that is over, I will be giving this product a try.  It felt really nice going onto the back of my hand!

Coastal Scents Eclipse Concealer Palette || Received Full Size || Value $19.95

So, right before I got this box, I picked at a pimple.  And not just a small, little pimple.  No, this one was Mount Rushmore sized on my chin.  It is almost like BoxyCharm just knew I was going to be needing this concealer palette.  So far, I am loving it and it is working on Mount St. Helens.  The concealers are super creamy and are super pigmented with even just a tiny bit.  Plus, I like the green and purple options to use under my eye and on my actual eyelids to cover up discoloration and smooth out the texture.  Also, given this is a pretty sturdy case that is holding cream concealers inside {ie, not in liquid form} it will be great for travel!

Cult/Commerce X BoxyCharm “Shady” Collection Nail Polishes || Received Full Size || Value $21

I haven’t had a chance to swatch these yet, but the colors are really gorgeous in the bottle and will be perfect for Fall AND Halloween!  I have read some reviews {and something posted by BoxyCharm on their Facebook page} that the tips of the applicator were overloaded with polish just for shipment purposes as to prevent the wands from drying out.  The tip BoxyCharm gave was to dip the applicator in some nail polish remover to get some of that product off, clean on a paper towel, and then resume painting as normal.  So, if you experienced something similar with these polishes, there you go!

Be a Bombshell Eye shadow in Mardi Gras || Received Full Size || Value $14

The description of this product {on the card that BoxyCharm sends along with each box} states “highly pigmented” and unfortunately I have to highly disagree with that statement.  I am not sure if I got a bad shadow, but I couldn’t even get this {what looks to be very} bright purple shade to swatch on the back of my hand and I can barely see the color when I try to apply it to my eyelids.  I was going to include a picture of the swatch I did, but I cannot even see the shadow on my hand in the picture!  I will probably pass this eye shadow on to a friend.  It provides a VERY sheer {almost} purple hue to the lids {but only after dipping back into the pot and applying about three layers}, so it would be perfect for someone who wants to begin experimenting with color, but needs something with a little less pigmentation.

STARLOOKS Ultra Gem Eye Pencil in Ultra Olive || Received Full Size || Value $14

Even though this is a wood pencil, and it is a sparkly, metallic liner, it went on so smooth and creamy.  I was actually surprised at how smooth and creamy it was because of those factors.  I love it!  I just wish I knew how to better incorporate colored eyeliners into my makeup looks.  Anyone with a suggestion or tip on how they like to wear colored eyeliners?  Leave it in the comments down below!

I love sub boxes! I hadn’t heard of BoxyCharm until now, but it looks like their boxes are a great value. I’m surprised the eyeshadow wasn’t very pigmented. It looks like such a vibrant shade!

I love my BoxyCharm! In fact, I would say out of all the different sub boxes I get, I am always the most excited for BoxyCharm since it includes full sized products {and the value has always been over $100 each!}. I too was surprised at the pigmentation of the shadow! I will pass it on to my mom, though, and she will get some use out of it!
