If you saw my post yesterday on this week’s drugstore beauty bargains, you know I love a good deal when it comes to makeup, but that I also love to try new brands and shades, so I am constantly seeking out beauty bargains in order to keep my wallet in check!  After becoming a Julep Maven subscriber to be able to score great deals on their {amazing} nail polish, I came across a couple of makeup and skin care related subscription boxes.  After watching many YouTube videos and reading a ton of reviews, I decided that BoxyCharm and Ipsy were the right choices for me.  With these monthly subscriptions, I get to try really great {some high end} products for a fraction of the price.  Plus, nothing is more SIMPLE than shopping from home!

Today I am sharing my BoxyCharm box for July 2014:

What I got this month:

Every month, BoxyCharm has a theme to the box.  This month’s theme is ‘America the Beautiful.’  The following quote noted on the product card provided helped clarify where the BoxyCharm team was going with the theme: “The melting pot of American culture means that we have all kinds of beauty in this amazing country.”

Here are the products they chose to go with this theme:

pur-lisse pur-protect SPF 30 moisturizer – Full Size Product

This seems like it is going to be a really great sunscreen option for my face.  I swatched it on the back of my hand and it goes on smooth, absorbs quickly, and has a light sweet-lemon scent (value of $55)

Appeal Cosmetics Luxurious Lipstick – Full Size Product

This shade — called Kitten — made me go “woah baby” when I opened it!  But after swatching it, I realized that it was going to go on much more sheer than I had originally anticipated, so now I believe I will be able to pull this shade off!  The product card that comes with each BoxyCharm box states this is a long-lasting and moisturizing lipstick (value of $22)

Lauren B. Beauty Nail Polish in Rodeo Drive – Full Size Product

This polish, in the color Rodeo Drive, is 5 free {no formaldehyde, DBP, toluene, formaldehyde resin, or camphor} and is designed to be quick drying, high shine, and long lasting. Sounds perfect. I was just looking over my nail polish collection yesterday and realized I didn’t have a lot of reds {as in none at all}, so I am excited for this color (value $18)

bellápierre Shimmer Powder in Harmony – Full Size Product

The last two items are bellápierre products. This company produces mineral makeup. The bellápierre website states that they’re dedicated to offering makeup products that are natural, on trend, and free from filler products {avoiding creasing and skin irritation}.

The bellápierre Shimmer Powders are made from 100-percent Mica powder.

I am not going to lie….I am not a huge fan of loose powder eye shadows.  But, that is mainly because I am still a novice at applying them.  I will give this shadow a good try, though, because the shade is GORGEOUS (value of $14.99)

bellápierre Natural Lip Liner in Nude – Full Size Product

Again, this bellápierre product is all natural and {as the company’s website states} is “made with 100% pure mineral pigments, all natural botanical waxes such as jojoba, safflower, and vitamin E creating waterproof wear so you never have to worry about re-applying after eating or drinking.”  This is no joke because it was hard to get the swatch off the back of my hand!  (value of $18)

I am super excited, again, about this month’s BoxyCharm products.  I am planning to try all of the products {and not relegating any to my giveaway basket}.

One of the best parts about the BoxyCharm subscription {aside from the great products} is the value you get.  The total value of the products in this box {if you were to go purchase them at the store} is $127.99.  What a great deal for a $21 box!  Last month’s box was worth $92.99, so this isn’t a fluke, it is the norm for BoxyCharm.
