Azure Naturals Moroccan Argan Oil Review

Recently I was sent three different complimentary oils from Azure Naturals to give a try in exchange for sharing my honest opinions.  I was sent their Rosehip, Emu, and Argan oils.

The Options Available

All of Azure Natural’s oils are available in glass jars with a pump.  Score!

I have used similar products in the past {think serums} that utilize an eye dropper mechanism.  Because of how much I disliked the eye dropper method for dispensing product, I have avoided certain brands when they have it.  Therefore, I am so happy to see that Azure Naturals incorporated a standard pump for their oil bottles!

Azure Naturals Emu Oil Review #azurenaturals

The rosehip oil is an orange-ish color while the emu and argan oils are clear.

It is also worth mentioning that the bottles are 2 oz. in size.  In speaking with Azure Naturals, you really do not need to purchase a bottle of oil {rosehip, emu, or argan} larger than this at any one time.  The reason being is that since you are using such a small amount each time {literally just a couple of drops} and since the oils have a shelf life of about 3-4 months, the 2 oz. jar {such as the one Azure Naturals offers}, should last you that same amount of time.  Any amount larger in size and you may run into the product expiring before you can use it all {even with frequent use}.

Although this review will be focused on my thoughts in using the Argan Oil, I do also just want to point out that Azure Naturals offers Rosehip Oil and Emu Oil as well.

You can read my review of the Rosehip Oil here and my review of the Emu Oil here.

My Experience with Azure Naturals Argan Oil

Azure Naturals Argan Oil Review #azurenaturals

Since I was already trying out the Emu Oil on my skin by the time I cracked open this bottle of Argan oil, I decided to focus my testing of it on my hair and cuticles.

All I can say is….O.M.G.

I cannot remember a time that my hair has looked or felt better since I started using this oil.  I have very thick, very coarse, always dry hair.  It is also naturally wavy and prone to being very frizzy.  Because of its thickness, I always have my hair stylist use thinning shears when I get my hair cut {which leads to it looking even more frizzy because I have single strands of hair ending in all sorts of spots}.

I kept my hair care routine the same for the most part and just added in using the argan oil.

I wash my hair every two or three days.  After washing, I will apply a BB cream or some sort of creamy, moisturizing, leave-in protectant.  I twist my hair up into a bun and let that cream sit and mingle with my hair.  I also let it sit to cut down on the amount of drying time with my hair dryer.  Right before blow drying, I will spritz in a leave-in conditioner, focusing it on my ends, and then blow dry my hair {this is after it is has dried about halfway on its own}.

After the step of blow drying my hair is where I decided to incorporate this argan oil.  I smoothed it onto my hair after drying, focusing on the ends, and it immediately smoothed out my frizz and left my hair looking soft and shiny.

Even though my hair is pretty dry overall, my roots and scalp get oily over the course of the three days that I do not wash it.  So, for second and third day hair I spray dry shampoo into my roots and then if my hair is looking a little frizzy again, I will smooth it down with a bit more of this argan oil {I hate that my roots will look oily while my ends look fried….first world problems, I know}.

Then, to top it all off, I also used this oil on my cuticles and it was just as fabulous a result.

The product itself has a clear consistency and reminds me a lot of the smoothing serums you can buy for your hair {just to give you a reference}.

I literally have nothing bad to say about this oil!  I will be wrapping this bottle up in bubble wrap {the oils come in glass bottles, if I didn’t already mention that} and haul it with me during travels because that is how much I do not want to be without it!

I have frizzy hair too and I keep hearing about the benefits of using argan oil. I should look into it especially since I use oils to clean and moisturize my skin! Thanks for the review 🙂

My hair is naturally straight and super fine so when I use oils I have to be VERY careful! I love that this bottle comes with a pump- I hate the droppers, too!

Oh yes, I would also suggest being careful if using this oil on super fine hair, especially if it is pretty naturally oily. But, my dry, frizzy, thick hair is soaking it up and loving it!

I did not realize argan oil could be used under the eyes. Learn something new every day. I thought it was just for hair.

I’ve used argan oil before and really liked it. This product, Azure Naturals, isn’t one I’ve heard of before, but it sounds like it works in the same way as the one I tried. I am very interested in using it on my skin, though, because my previous product was only for hair. Thanks for sharing the details about this!
